First time staying here on our drive from austin to vegas and it was incredible! So good infact, we booked a room last minute on our way back home also. Every staff we encountered was friendly and personable, casino was clean and fun and I can not say enough about our incredible room. Even managed to get the same room twice and will request that room when we come back!

My friend and I came down to enjoy ourselves, we played a little then decided to have a cocktail. We went into the main bar area they had a band playing. We waited in line for 15/20 minutes, then when we finally got there, the women bartender was extremely rude. She made the drinks but mine wasn't the one I wanted and told me she wouldn't make a different one so I said then I won't have a drink. She then took both drinks away and had her manager get security and remove me and my friend from the bar and casino! We didnt even get to sit down or enjoy a nice cocktail or music! They must really not care about their customers so we went to Santa Ana casino they were wayyyyy nicer and friendly. They made our trip here better. Never go back to sandia and will not recommend it to anyone

It’s a big beautiful property. The room was very nice. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. I can’t say enough about how nice the staff was especially the valets. I would definitely come back. The bonus is if you’re up early, you can see the hot air balloon balloons going up for rides in the morning

USE THE CONCIERGE! Coming from out of town and having never been here before, it was very hard to find our way to the hotel reception desk. We initially drove in the wrong entrance, which comes up on google maps when you ask for directions, then walked all over the casino to find the registration desk. The signage when driving into the resort is minimal and needs to be reconfigured towards out of town guests. Arrows and signs for the hotel entrance are easily missed. Seems like they went all out on aesthetics but skimped on signage. It was very hard to find dining information. There is no directory in the room, and the only menu available in the room is on the TV, and it is only for room service. There are only two restaurant menus available online. For the smaller cafes we had to physically find them first, and then read the menus. I would recommend an interactive casino map that gives you details, or at least more online information. Food was good and standard casino pricing - expensive, but we were prepared for that. Aside from the fantastic Thanksgiving buffet at Bien Shur, best value food is in the sports bar - really good value for the amount and quality of food you get. The room was well appointed and very comfortable. There are two view choices, either mountain or city. We were not given a choice, and since we were not informed of this, we did not ask. Either way, the view is spectacular. The phone in the room is a complicated mess when trying to phone the front desk. They need a newer simpler phone system. Just use your cell. They only have DirecTV, which does not allow you to use your own Netflix account. This should be upgraded. I missed 'Trains, Planes and Automobiles' on Thanksgiving Day! The Golf course is in spectacular shape and was a joy to play. We were able to drop our clubs off, but the clubhouse is under reconstruction so logistics of getting from car to cart were a little rough. It is easy to miss the sign to the practice tee, which we did. The starter was a little condescending to us when we told him the sign was not visible. There is no water bucket for your towel on the 1st or 10th tee like on every other golf course. It is back near where you pick up your cart and is camouflaged as a trash bin. There was no sand in the bottles due to a missed sand delivery. The starter did not know this and had to drive to the cart barn to find out. Staff needs to be better informed. Food at the turn was tasty, great chips!! The lead concierge, Tracy Sherman, was delightful and went out of her way to make our stay as good as it could possibly be. I recommend talking to her in advance of your stay for any information you may need. Overall, the accommodations were great, golf was great, but the little details were sorely lacking, and they are the most important. So many little things need to be addressed before they attain 5 star status.

I just had an awesome visit to the casino! I’m really impressed that it’s smoke-free – it makes such a difference. The place is sparkling clean, and the staff were incredibly attentive, making sure all my needs were met. I can't wait to go back!
